I'm Just Too Smart

I feel like I begin every post with, "It's been a while since my last post...". I really have to get better about this. I have no excuse. I have a working camera now and a LOT going on. It's not like it takes much effort to blog. I CAN'T be that lazy! Or am I?

Anyway, I've had a very interesting week. The week before last I went to the doctor because I was feeling a(nother!) sinus infection coming on. I got some meds for drainage, but nothing for infection. So last weekend I went home to Dandridge to talk with P Diddy about wedding details and to meet up with my brother and his fiance and watch the UT game. My mouth started hurting on Sunday. Nothing much, but like sinus pressure on my upper teeth. I just figured it was my sinuses, no big deal.

Well, by Wednesday the pain had spread and I could hardly open my mouth. My jaw was KILLING me. I went to the dentist that afternoon and they gave me a prescription for pain and penicillin for an infection. I had a wisdom tooth that had erupted and it had become infected. From my sinuses? Probably. So I filled my prescriptions, took one of each, went home and sat on the couch. At about 6:00 I asked JD what was wrong with my face. I had never taken a pain pill, so I thought I might just be reacting to it. Oh no, it looked like I had been beaten! Evidently I am allergic to penicillin.

The next morning I went back to the dentist and he recommended I go on and immediately remove that tooth since I was having a bad reaction to the meds. I had this originally schedule for over fall break so I wouldn't have to miss any work. I told him I would like to go ahead and get them all out instead of just one now and three later. So, we made the appointment for Friday.

Friday at 12:30 I went in, had them out and came home. I do not remember much. It's the first time I've ever been put under for anything so I was pretty nervous. I swear, though, I can remember hearing my teeth cracking. Maybe it was subconscious in my sleep? Anyway, I have spent the weekend eating ice cream, mashed potatoes, banana pudding and sleeping. I took today off work as well and I'm looking forward to going back tomorrow.

I still had to get on my UT attire for my Vols though. It was a great first half, boys.

While I was healing, JD recorded a show called "Cat Ladies". As we watched, this was what was on the other couch.

But he snapped this one, I guess we're both guilty of being Crazy Cat People!
