Well, I'm officially embarassed about my blogging. It's been over a month since my last post. You know it's time to update when you get a text from your dad at 10 pm asking if you still keep up with your blog. Yikes! Thanks, Dad. I'm getting it back together.
Since my last post a lot has happened. I packed up my classroom and finished my first year teaching. WHEW!!! I shed many tears that last week, tears from just stressing about getting everything completed to tears at graduation to tears of joy! Fortunately, I will be in the same room again next year. I'm very excited for this summer. I can't wait to just enjoy it and be lazy when I want to be. Sleeping in has been amazing!!
Last week I was pretty busy. I spent every moment either at the pool, mall, or working out. I wanted to start off being productive so I didn't become a couch potato for the next two months. This week I've been a little less active. I spent too much money on mindless shopping last week, so that could get dangerous this summer!
I hope to spend some time getting lessons planned and getting organized for next year. Since I didn't get hired until after school had started last year, I really didn't have much time to plan out classroom layouts, themes, classroom management, and centers. So I hope to get some of that done on rainy days. Does anyone have any other ideas for me for the summer? I'll be watching JD's niece Abby on Mondays, what are some fun things for us to do?
We've also started training for the Middle TN half marathon. I've never even ran a 5K, so this is going to be interesting! My goal is to just not wuss out and finish it. It's not until the second weekend in October, so I've got plenty of time to get in somewhat decent shape!
Dad and I both had a birthday since the last blog update. HAPPY 5OTH BIRTHDAY P. DIDDY! I will be going into D-Town Thursday and Friday to celebrate. I've got some fun surprises in mind :) Stay tuned for those pictures!
