JD was never a cat person before we dated. As a matter of fact, I think he disliked them. But, like I've said before, Julius can change a person's outlook towards the feline kind.
Well this show reminded me of a conversation that we had this weekend with our friends at a cookout. We were discussing how JD is now a bona-fide cat dad and they were asking which cat he favors. I honestly answered that I think he likes Julius more. My reasoning is because if either of the cats do something they are not supposed to like jump on the counters or on the table, he will only spank and punish Scarlet. (I bust both their asses. I mean, that's just gross!) Anyway, he overheard this conversation and said to me:
JD: "What if your granddad was standing in the corner peeing, would you just go over and spank him?"
Me: "What on earth? What's my granddad got to do with this?"
JD: "Well, Julius is old. He's like a granddad. He's got tire breath. You can't just go spanking him if you wouldn't do the same to your grandad."
I was literally in tears after this exchange. He will punish Scarlet but not Julius based solely upon how old they are. Nevermind that Julius is 10 pounds heavier than Scarlet!
