Hair Do or Hair Don't

I like to think of myself as a hair chameleon. I like to change it with the seasons. Red, blonde, brown, super blonde, blonde with red highlights, you know, just whatever I'm feeling at the moment. I've had this reddish brown that is now fading to a strange in-between color since December and the nice warm weather over the weekend reminded me that Spring and all it's lovely sunshiny glory is right around the corner. So this has me on hair patrol. I have been intensely checking out every follicle that walks past me. "Do I like her cut? That color is cute! Maybe I should try bangs? What about a short summer bob?" These are the constant thoughts in my head. Keep in mind, even though I change the color often, I really haven't done much with the length since like 2003, so I will really have to work up the nerve to chop a bunch off.

Right now my hair is pretty long, the longest it's ever been and I enjoy it. I curl it often, wear it straight, put some curling gel in it and let it do it's own thing, and of course, wear it up all the time. But sometimes I just feel like it's a tad "blah" and stringy.

So... I've found a few pictures of what I do like.

As far as color, I always go blonde in the Spring/Summer (ALWAYS). And since I always like to have some red in my hair I like to have red framing my face and a little throughout for depth and definition. I have found these pictures of the color I'll probably be choosing.

I love lots of things about this. The color especially, but I'd really like to try the heavy side swept bang. I've got a big ol' forehead and that might camoflague it a bit.

This is about how long my hair is now. I really like this.

DJ Tanner representin! I like this a lot as well. It's very close to my length and it's got the big bang I'm looking for.

Here are some of the shorter cuts. I also like the color on many of them.

This looks relatively low maintenance. I think I could handle it on a daily basis, and I really like the lowlights in it as well.

I LOVE THIS! I really do.

I would love to have hair like this. But I'd only probably like it for a few months and then I'd HATE it and wish I'd never cut my hair. When I graduated high school I cut my hair short like this and was crazy about it until like September. Then the growing out phase...ugh. I dunno - it's adorable, but I'm having flashbacks to the awkward in-between styles time and I don't like it.

So, give me your opinion! What do you think I should do? And please don't be offended if I don't take your advice. I appreciated it, though :)

Also, if you are familar with the Rutherford Co./Murfreesboro area, could you give me some salon pointers. I went to Tangerine and I liked it, but it was pricey and honestly, I felt like all they wanted to do was sell me Aveda products. Good products and all, but cain't a girl just get her hair did? Also, I really couldn't even tell a difference in the color when I left. I mean, if I'm bleachin' these tresses I wanna see the damage!

  1. I hate Jessica Simpson, but I do love her hair in this picture. I have never had the patience to grow my hair long and it is ridiculously thick.

    Good luck!

The place that I used to get my hair done is closed now, so no good advice. But I have not heard good things about Tangerine. My friend Teesha's mom is a hair dresser, but I dont know where she works now. Ill see if I can find out.
