So, JD and I have lived here in the Boro since September and we had yet to go out on the town for an evening out. JD's friend Ruben and his girlfriend Jessica live in our apartment complex. Jessica and I decided that we'd been patient enough watching the guys play XBox and staying in, so we requested a night out. We were specific with what we wanted - a night out dancing. Not too hard to do, fellas! Sometimes a girl just wants to dance! And we left the men up to making the decision because they grew up in this town, they should know the hot spots. Well, I was excited about this outing! So I went out and bought a whole new outfit, got myself tanned, (sounds like I'm on Jersey Shore ha!), and was ready for a night out. My goal was to NOT look like a teacher.
Other than my bra hanging out(UGH!!)I think we look mighty cute. And not a bit like a teacher.

We ended up someplace downtown. Rooster, something, maybe? I don't remember the name. All I remember is that it wasn't a dance joint. But, I'm not complaining cause I got my new duds on and I'm out and not sitting on the couch in my mismatched pj's drinking boxed wine from a Tennessee Titans mug.
Needless to say, the night was young. We left there. Somehow while waiting on a taxi(we're responsible!) we give our wristbands to some bar newcomers and get split up from Ruben and Jessica.
We ended up leaving there and going to a place JD calls "Clean Jim's". Umm, I guess that means there is a "dirty" version of said bar. Get-out-of-town. BUT, I got a monster styrofoam cup of vodka red bull for like $5. Didn't finish it, but, whatever.
Our evening had to come to an end. So, around I'd say...1:00ish? We get in the taxi to go home. To get in the bed. In mismatched pj's. While JD plays XBox. It's just what we do best.
In JD's defense (and I believe this is the first time that I have even said that), there are no good dancing spots in Mboro. Other than Stampede. But then you might get a STD there as well.

Sorry for the two comments, but I was reading back over my comment. I meant to write, get a STD by breathing or being there or something totally unrelated to implying that you would "hook up" with someone there.
ReplyDeleteMy trying to be funny way of saying that it is nasty. Although you can swim across the river and stay at my parents if you get drunk, so that is always a plus.
