Ok, so I have SUCH a guilty pleasure when it comes to this show. I watch it like I watch Jersey Shore - more on that catastrophe later. In my own little bubble. I mean, it's not my proudest hour of the day, ya know? But, there is just something about these girls - they tug at my heart strings. I don't know if you watch or not, but I've followed them since 16 and Pregnant and MTV does a great job at keeping me tuning in each week. I'm gonna touch base on each girl, baby, and baby daddy.

First we have Farrah. This girl is D.E.N.S.E. I mean, she spends all of her time looking for a man and screaming at her mom (who spends all of her time watching baby Sophia) that she is trying to be "a real teenager". Sorry, baby girl, but you gave up that road when you became a mama. I think she means well, but she just needs to check her priorities. It's sad to watch her get taken advantage of. She's a pretty girl, but just comes off as a tad desperate. Bless her heart. I did read (on Perez, so who knows if it's true) that Farrah may be dating Pauly D from Jersey Shore. FIST PUMPS!

Then we have Amber. Oh, Amber. And Gary. Y'all are exhausting. You wear me out! Nag, nag, nag, moan, moan, moan. I mean, I can't blame Amber. Gary did go to Wally World to buy her an engagement ring for a whopping $21.40 only a few days after he spent a small fortune on a Playstation 3 and Rock Band. Oh, but he also HAD to ask about the RETURN POLICY on said ring. But then Amber really doesn't do much to help her case. She's very moody and kinda split personality. You really never know what you're gonna get from her. Again, with the priorities. I will say this, they seem to be making it work and genuinely want to provide their daughter with a loving home.

Next we come to Catelynn and Tyler. Honestly, these two are gonna make it. I have so much respect for them making a brave decision to put their baby into a wonderful, loving household. BUT, there comes a point when certain things shouldn't be videotaped or aired. Especially on MTV! These two are as red as can be. I'm talking mullets and sharing in-laws kinda red. But it's sort of oddly endearing. I actually cried tonight on the reunion show when Dr. Drew showed them the most recent pictures of their baby. Keep on rockin' you two!

Lastly, there is my favorite, Maci. NOT RYAN. Maci and baby Bentley (shivers) are precious! She is very dedicated to being a mother and does everything for her son. I feel for her, plus she's a Tennessee girl so that doesn't hurt. But, Ryan. LAJDLAKSNFKAKHRFJANVKMCNADJKVBUEOIEWRYOCNBSJBJBDVKBAKJGUFJBNJ This dude makes my blood boil. If ever anyone was qualified to be on VH1's Tool Academy, it's this douche. But, luckily Maci realized she's way out of his league and deserves so much better for herself and for Bentley. Love this girl. She's so cute!
Just look at this little guy.

So, with all of that being said, I can't really be one to pass judgement on any of these girls. I was never a teen mom, I'm still not a mom, so I can't imagine what the struggles are like. But, I want to know: who's your favorite Teen Mom? What is parenting like for you? What do you want to see happen for these ladies?
Ah, watched the reunion last night.
ReplyDeleteFarrah - did you see her on the reunion? Could she have been any more bored?
Amber - My favorite was her advocacy for domestic violence. Dr Drew should have slapped her.
Maci - cute but stuck with no brain for way too long
Catelynn - although you are right that they will make it, they are just too weird. They are step siblings, she got engaged in her prom dress. And, oh the shame of those braces.
Blog - I use thecutestblogontheblog.com. You can click on the link at the top left of my blog. It took me weeks to figure out how to design banners, but you just have to edit your picture in paint and paste it on top of the banner. There are tons of other sites, but I have found this one to be the easiest. When you are on someone's blog, there is usually a button to go to the site that designed theirs. You can "buy" one for like $30, but I have not gone that far. Yet.
