Quote Of The Day

For some reason I'm always in a much better mood on Fridays. The kids move less monkeys that day than any other. I'm always all smiles. Maybe it's cause I get to wear jeans? Or maybe it's cause it's just 7 hours til the weekend? In any event, I was in another exceptionally good mood Friday. We often listen to music while we work. We like Dr. Jean (THE absolute best, I recommend her for your kids listening at home as well - even adults can't resist the Tooty Ta!), Greg and Steve, and Jack Hartmann. When I'm feeling it, we'll also listen to Radio Disney or Kidz Bop.

Yesterday said, "I'm feeling some music while we work today, what about y'all?" They were all giving their input until one of the funniest (he'd be the class clown if they had any in kindergarten) said:

Nameless faceless child: "Ms. Dennis, can you play some Lady GaGa or Michael Jackson?"

Me: "No, D, I'm sorry I don't have that."

NFC: "Oh, well what about Chaka Khan?"



Noooooooooo he didn't! I couldn't help it. I was almost in tears I was laughing so hard. This child has got some musical taste. I didn't even put those names in his head! He came up with those all on his own. I'm so proud!

Although I am thinking about taking in my MJ soon, several of them asked for that after. I think most of those songs will be kid appropriate. I'll have to skip a few, but we can manage.
