Keepin' Busy Y'all

Forgive the overuse of y'all in this post, but for some reason I'm just feelin' it! So, I haven't posted in a while cause I've been SO! SUPER! BUSY! That is sarcasm. I haven't really done much of anything since last Wednesday and it's been GLORIOUS! I never knew how wonderful snow days were to teachers. I really can't explain it. It's a paid day of laying on the couch watching endless marathons of shows like Snappe(OMG y'all-it's like crack!) and 48 Hours:Mystery. Yes, I really have a strange taste in shows. The more sick, twisted and weird - I am sold! And it's a paid day! That doesn't take away from my personal days. Or sick days. And it doesn't have to be made up. And it's just a little bit of sugar in those long months between Christmas Break and Spring Break (dang, y'all-like 3 months!). And just for the record, I have perfect attendance so far this year. It's just A LOT easier for everyone that way. Anyway, I spent my four day weekend doing a lot of this:



It was nice. And, yes, that's a Snuggie. "Get on your Snuggie". :)

Until this morning. DUN-DUN-DUN. I had......BUS DUTY!!!!!!!!

THE HORROR!!! Bus duty wasn't that bad, really. I get to school at 7:00 every morning anyway, so getting there early wasn't the issue. It was the COLD! Dadburn, y'all! Shoot...

So, not only do I have bus duty all of this week, but I have it next week, and also the next. ARGGGHHHHHHHHHH..... I guess that's what I get for getting hired 10 days after school started. I'm gonna suggest that next year I get first dibs on choosing bus duty weeks.

Report cards go home tomorrow. PANIC! I was only concerned about this because last week I only had 2 days to test 20 kindergarteners. You try fitting in solo time with each of them uninterrupted- ain'tgonnahappen. So, I did 5 each day and had to really work in 10 today. I was a mess by the end of the day.

Here I am at home about 2 hours into filling out report cards - surely after years of practice this won't take as long?



That's it for now. Gonna go catch the episodes of Intervention and Hoarders I missed tonight!
