Let It Snow!

I feel terrible about my recent blogging habits, or lack thereof. All week I was busy, busy, busy preparing for the 100th Day Of Kindergarten! Our party was scheduled for Friday and I was really excited about it. Lots of games, crafts, and foods were planned. Don't get me wrong, I was excited to hear about some potential snow, but I really didn't want to have a party on any other day but a Friday. I mean, it's just not logical to have an exhausting seven hour party with 20 five and six year olds unless you get to have a cocktail (or four) when you get home and you get to sleep in the next day. But, boy did we get snow! It's okay, though. JD even got out of work early, so he and the cats and I bundled up for some fun!

Here I am TRYING to pack up some snow for us to make a snowman.

This is about as big as I could get the snowballs before they crumpled in my hands.

Check out that fierce look of determination. I am trying to pelt JD with a snowball. All fury in those eyes.

We did let Scarlet and Julius out for a bit. I'll let you take a guess as to which one was curious and which one stayed by the door.

Little Princess was all over the place!

What a beautiful snow kitty!

JD and Scarlet. Wintry mix extremists.

The brave one.

Scarlet wanted to help with the snowman. It looks more like a snowy Egyptian pyramid, but whatever.

This shows you their true personalities.

RETREAT!

We also went to the playground for some fun. Yup, I went down the slide.

What a sweet little paw print.

As I sit here in the warmth I feel terrible for JD. The roads are so icy and he had to work this morning. I offered for him to take my car but he was still unsure of driving so he decided to WALK to work. It's only like 2 miles, but I still think that sucks. Hopefully it will be melted enough by the time he gets off that I can go pick him up.

I plan to blog later today about my Grammy predictions, both winners and performers and share a few of my fave songs and artists from this past year.

I am about 75% certain we won't have school again tomorrow, so no 100th Day party then, but I also plan to blog pictures from that and the classroom. I have some great before and after shots to share.

Have a great lazy Sunday!
