Day 2 of the MC completed! I am still feeling really good. This morning I woke up bright and early, before my alarm (5:45) and began my SWF. The salt water was not nearly as bad this morning! I drank the entire 32 oz. in 20 minutes, which took 45 minutes yesterday morning. I also premade my lemonades for the day since I would be away from home at a training for school. When I got to the room they had donuts, bagels, coffees, sodas and all kinds of fresh fruit. I just grabbed a water bottle to be polite. For lunch I went with some co-workers to McAllister's Deli and I wasn't tempted in the slightest bit! I had my lemonade with me! :)
I have still surprisingly not had any hunger pangs or cravings. My body is responding really well to the detox so far. I am just missing having some solid foods just to chew on. Only having liquids for 2 days has left me missing textures, not necessarily flavors if that makes any sense. The book stated that Days 2, 3, and 7 are typically the worst. Today was not much different from yesterday. I had a lot of extra energy today and went for a good workout which was a great plus. Yesterday I had to take a nap midday.
I had to buy more lemons and syrup today. 10 lemons lasted me 2 days. I also picked up some limes because I think I may want a change of flavor soon! The maple syrup I bought last time was $6 and some change and only for 8.5 ounces! I picked up an organic and all natural Grade A and I think it should work just as well. I got 22 ounces of it for $4 and some change so I'm hoping it will last me the next 4 days!
Here is a picture of my orginal purchase.

My tongue is still pretty gross and white and thick. Almost like it's cheesy. Which wouldn't surprise me if I'm detoxing out nothing but American, Swiss, Pepper Jack, Colby, Bleu and Mozzarella. Ha! I just feel bad for people who come too close to me cause I know I gotta have some breath like some thunder! I unfortunately can't have gum. Wahh...wahh....
It's been interesting to hear feedback from people. Most people are very supportive and want to know more about it and want to hear about my end results which keeps me motivated. Some are confused and think that I'm "starving" myself or that I'm fasting. It is in no way starving myself. I'm getting A LOT of calories each day from the syrup. I know how to listen to my body and if I need to stop, I definitely will.
JD's dad just didn't quite get the concept. He kept trying to convince me I could eat fresh fruits and veggies and I could have soups and broths. Ha! Not until 3 days after I stop the cleanse! Speaking of JD, so far today he drug me all through Kroger and Publix searching for fried chicken. He finally ended up with two pieces and double macaroni and cheese. And a hawaiian roll. He's got tilapia laid out to grill again tonight. Because that's what he had last night with an apple tartlet and ice cream while I guzzled down my tea! Honestly, the smell of the chicken was not appetizing at all to me today. Improvement!
Anyway, as of weigh in today Julius still weighs 15.5 pounds. Scarlet is down .4 to 7.6 pounds and I'm down to .7 pounds with a BMI of 22.97. I want a healthy BMI at right at 22, so I'm not too far from that. And that's typically what I run anyway.
Gotta go! My nighttime treat of cinnamon herbal laxative tea is calling!

I just had to post the picture of Scarlet! She's just so sweeeet!
You go girl! Although the description of the cheese tongue is less than appatizing (sp?). As for Dad, he is old school (and crazy).
ReplyDeleteI love some fried chicken. Sorry about the movie theater buttered delicious popcorn tonight. It was just ok.
