But the point of this blog and this post is to post pictures along with my ramblings to chronicle the very epic events that happen in my daily life. (HA!) I actually did spend the past few weeks reuniting with friends and catching up. It was nice to have some girl time. It had been wayyy too long!
June started off with the Season 3 premiere of my favorite southern vampire series True Blood. I decided to throw a quick party for the event. Only Keisha and Preston could make it, but I didn't plan far enough ahead in advance to let folks plan on spending their Sunday at our place. But it was fun. I had a few decorations and I printed off True Blood labels and put on cups and we served Merlot, a drink I invented called a "FangBanger", Lafayette AIDS burgers, fried chicken and red velvet cake balls. Yum! Southern deliciousness.
Here's JD putting on the AIDS burgers. Doing his best Terry Bellefleur impression, I guess.

Keisha and I enjoying the view, watching the guys grill. She and Preston are so great at getting together with us. It's so nice to have them as friends.

JD and myself. Yes, I bought a Merlotte's shirt. I tried to get JD a Fangtasia one but he was having none of it. I may get one for myself, though.

Preston and Keisha. She has an amazing camera and takes incredible pictures. You can check out her blog at - www.keishahall.blogspot.com

Later in the week I met up with Kim and Peggy in Nashville at Virago. It was a yummy little sushi place in Nashville. Believe it or not what I ordered off the menu was "sushi", although shrimp, pineapple, bacon and toasted coconut hardly counts as sushi in my book.

Later that week I went to Gatlinburg for my childhood (and adulthood, too) friend Jennifer's bachelorette party weekend.
Here's the "Bride to Bling" Jennifer.

It was nice to meet up with Laura and Jenny. What most people don't realize is that me, Kim, Laura, Jennifer and Jenny have gone ALL through school together as BFF's. Dandridge Elementary to Maury Middle to Jefferson County High to Tennessee Tech - we were all truly inseperable for about 20 years! So when we do get together it's amazing. We just pick up right where we left off. We're thick as thieves and close as sisters. Love these girls forever!!

This picture is Angie, Jenny, Laura and me.

Julie's also been with us since high school. It's always nice to have a girls reunion weekend. We should get together more often, but scheduling is hard now. Below is a picture of her pouring everyone some apple pie moonshine. I guess it just wouldn't be a proper get together with some white lightning!

I wish I had taken pictures of the cabin we stayed in. It was incredible! It was appropriately titled "Knotty and Nice" which I thought Julie's creative mind just made that up for the invites, but it really was called that!
I'm sitting on the balcony writing this and someone wants to come out and join me!

Silly girl!!!
